Donovan winces when we use his full name (he is Donny to his mates) and thinks his mother must have been in love with a certain Australian soap star when she gave birth to him. As a boy he looked more like a young Billy Elliot, in fact Donny comes from the same area in the North of Britain as the famous character and has a similarly lovely accent. Donovan was put in touch with us by a talent scout who told us the lad was very down on his luck and looking for any kind of work. Heading down South with a very good degree in mechanical engineering Donny hoped he would soon find a job, however he might as well be another young actor with no Equity card: no work experience literally means no work. Taking him for lunch at a slightly more salubrious restaurant than he was used to (he fell in love with every waitress) we wanted to be sure that Donovan was modelling for the right reasons but this tough guy really is delighted to have found an appreciative audience. Donny may not have found the streets of London to be paved with gold but in him we have found a full pot of the stuff: lovers of blond lads will be delighted to know that Donny's light golden fleece extends from his pits right down to his bushy perenium
