Martin James was the first model to be previewed on The Full English only to graduate – almost immediatley – to MBFD for his full feature. At twenty-eight he was officially our youngest dad but with his receding crop, beard and burly furry body we decided his fanbase was clearly going to be in the daddy camp. Martin is your classic endomorph: he gains weight very quickly, which is unfortunate as he loves his grub – meat, red meat and more meat. What's more, he's a complete hedonist and after a few beers will jump head-first into whatever is set before him, which could be a steak dinner or another crate of beer. This is precisely why it took so long to get a feature in the can – he had wanted to lose a bit of weight before stripping off for the nation however we were concerned that we might be waiting forever, and many readers had emailed to say they thought Martin was perfect the way he was. In 2012 we told him it was a case of now or never if he wanted to start any kind of modelling and he warned us that his current look could best be described as 'bearded caveman.'
